YARD DEBRIS CONTAMINATION – Only yard debris and food scraps are allowed in the yard debris carts.
Yard debris includes lawn clippings, leaves, pine needles, brush, tree limbs, and plant trimmings.
Food waste includes plate scrapings, meat, bones, dairy products, baked goods, or kitchen trimmings.
Plastic bags, garbage, metal, lumber and pet waste contaminate the yard debris and as such are NOT allowed in the yard debris carts. Accounts with carts that contain any contamination items will be subject to a $27.50 fee for removing these items.
Maximum cart weight is 120 pounds. No items outside of the cart will be taken.
Items to avoid:
Paper products, compostable service ware such as: plates, cups, bowls, forks, spoons, etc.
Ashes, loose dirt, sod, gravel, rocks, or bricks.
Logs or items larger than:
• Diameter should be 4 in. or less.
• Length should be 3 ft. or less.
Lumber, stumps, root wads, or poisonous vegetation.
Plastic bags, metal, rubber or garbage; or toxic liquids (motor oil, solvents, paint, etc.)
Pet waste.
