When that nip in the air tells you that jacket weather has arrived, remember that not everyone in our community can bundle up for the season. That’s why we’re proud to conduct the annual Coats for Kids project to help children whose families can’t afford the warm winter gear they need.
We’re lucky to live in an area where so many people care about supporting the most vulnerable members of our community. Relief Nursery, the Kids First Center, and Head Start (among many other organizations) all work to supply coats for children—yet more is required to fulfill all the needs. Will you join us this year in gathering coats for kids in Lane County?
From September 11th - October 25th 2024, you can donate new and used coats to Coats for Kids with Apex. Here are two options to make it easy for you to help:
Drop-off: Bring coats to our office (2399 Hwy 99 N, Eugene, OR—just 1/4 mile south of Beltline) any time during our regular business hours (Monday-Friday, 8:00-4:30 p.m.)
Pick-up: Place coats in a plastic bag, clearly label it “Coats for Kids,” and place it by the curb on your regular pickup day. Your driver will pick up the coats when they empty your carts.
There is a significant need for infant and toddler sizes as there are many requests for these sizes of coats.
Your donations will be appreciated by kids of all ages in Lane County, and there’s extra need for infant and toddler sizes. Every child deserves to be warm this winter—thank you for helping make that possible for our community!
Nothing makes us happier than hearing stories about how our neighbors are thriving. Drop us a line to share your Apex story!
