Curbside Residential Food Waste Pickup
Starting Oct 1st, 2019 Food Waste will be accepted in the yard debris cart for curbside pickup. If it’s food and you can eat it, then it can go in the cart. This includes: Plate scrapings, baked goods, kitchen trimmings, etc. Place these items loose into your cart, along with your normal yard debris of lawn clippings, leaves and tree trimmings. DO NOT use bags of any kind to place the food waste into your cart.
NO COMPOSTABLE ITEMS ALLOWED, such as: plates, paper products and other items labeled as compostable or biodegradable. If these items are found in your cart, it will contaminate the load. Any contamination will result in additional charges.
